Unit 32- p1-p5.

This project schedule is showing my progress that I've done and throughout planning this project.

P1- research and analysis.

Purpose: This music poster is to promote the music festival 'Glastonbury' to music lovers and to also show the types of acts performing.

Format: The poster is an A4 and the style of this is eye catching, colourful and bold. This is trying to draw in their audience because, they want to make it look exciting.

Content: consist of the location of where it is and name of musicians. For example; Muse, Adele, Coldplay and Disclosure.

Lay out: of this poster is set out into three collumns, as it makes it look more original and unique to other posters.

Target audience: The event being advertised is for 18 and over because, this event consists of all the sexual acts that take place, hit will all the alcohol which isn't suitable for younger years.

Regulatory Bodies: These people look through content on a poster/flyer/media or leaflet and decide whether it's suitable for the public to see or not. This poster is checked by ASA, (The Advertising Standard Authority). ASA regulates all media's and that includes posters. This poster didn't have any; bad language, false information, or any bad images on it. So, they got a clear check and it's suitable for the public to have and see.

Purpose: This poster is to educate people and allows teachers to create their own interactive lessons that would be worth sharing.

Format: The poster is A3 and the style is again, eye catching, bold and creative to advertise TED Ed to appeal to a younger audience.

Content: 'TED Ed' poster consists of ideas in the brain that creates TED Education.

Layout:  The poster is a male/ female head full of different ideas that become a creation and a sub title that reads, 'TED Ed, Lessons Worth Sharing.'

Target audience: Is children all ages and teachers because, there's nothing offensive or inappropriate on it.

Regulatory Bodies: These people look through content on a poster/flyer/media or leaflet and decide whether it's suitable for the public to see or not. This poster is checked by ASA, (The Advertising Standard Authority). ASA regulates all media's and that includes posters. This poster for 'TEDEd' is suitable for the public, as it doesn't have any false information on it, it's not offensive and theres' not bad images or language on it.

Purpose: This poster is to advertise the sport that is, 'motocross championship' and it also shows the dates and locations of where the event is taking places so, people can book up tickets to come and see the show.

The format of this poster is A4 and this style of this poster is once again, eye catching and appealing.

Content: The poster consists of pictures of the motocross team, the title, dates and location. It also has sponsors at the bottom of the poster and an exterior link. The sponsors are the base of funding towards the sport or event that's going on and it also helps raise awareness of the types of sponsors that there are. With the funding, if something was to happen to the bikes or equipment, the money sponsored can help fix the bikes or equipment that need looking to. In return of the sponsors funding money and setting up this finance, the sponsors get the help of raising awareness for their sponsor.

Layout: This poster is simple. It has the title of the event, a picutre of the motocross racers, dates and locations in a small paragraph in the middle of the poster.

Target audience:  The 'motocross championship' appeals more to current motocross fans because, there's nothing else but motocross on it.

Regulatory Bodies: These people look through content on a poster/flyer/media or leaflet and decide whether it's suitable for the public to see or not. This poster is checked by ASA, (The Advertising Standard Authority). ASA regulates all media's and that includes posters. This poster is again suitable for the public, as it's had the check and hasn't got anything bad on it to offend anyone. It's suitable for it's audience.

P2: Initial idea posters.

I have designed three different posters for 'Raising Aspirations'. The first poster I have designed is just a simple mountain backdrop with the words,'Raising Aspirations' to make it clear what I'm designing it for. The mountains represents the rise to aspire; starting from the bottom (lake) to the top of the mountain.

The second poster I have designed is very different to my first, as it's a flock of butterflies coming up from the left hand corner placed on a blue and white background. The flock of butterflies represent rising up, as they start off small and as the rise up they get bigger as one unit.

My final poster I have designed is completely out of the theme of mountains and butterflies, but the logo has a butterfly in it. My idea for this final design consists of; flowers, the sky, grass and a soil layer to make it look it more realistic. With the growing flower, I wanted to be different from the theme and to everyone else, as everyone was going with mountains, butterflies, mountains in butterflies or butterflies on mountains and I wanted to change it round a bit. The stages of the growing flower represents the stages of an individual as they go through or the hurdles to get through to achieve what they aspire to do. The butterfly is there to keep in the theme of 'Raising Aspirations'.

Today (7th October 2016) I trialed 3 painting ideas for my 'Raising Aspirations' background on a poster. My idea for a background was dripping paint so, I tried it the first time and it didn't work. So, the second attempt went better than the first. I didn't use a hair dyer on this attempt, I just tilted the page up right and let the paint drip down. My third idea was different to the dripping paint idea. I scraped that idea because, it wasn't working very well. So, I just put blobs of water on the page and sprinkled powered paint on them and let it do its thing. Then, it came out the way it's seen. It sort of has that marble paint effect. The 3rd painting was the one I chose to use on my 'Raising Aspirations' poster, as it was more simple and there was plenty more space to write over and it would give it more of a layout.

p3- presentation feedback:

For this presentation, I didn't create a powerpoint to show and explain my ideas. I used my WIX page instead. I thought it would be easier to present with, I wish I'd used a powerpoint. If I could go back and do it again, I would use a powerpoint.

Above is my planing of posters for Raising Aspirations. I designed three concept poster ideas and created them. After I'd made them and they were approved, as a class we presented our ideas to the class and Mr Holmes who then gave written feedback to us all after we'd presented.

Below is the feedback I received from Mr Holmes:

I felt that my presentation of my three poster ideas went well, but I think it could've gone better in the sense of me not being as nervous as I was. If I was to go back and do it all again, I would've controlled my nervous and not stutter when talking.

p4- lEGAL AND ETHICAL ISSUES.

The difference between legal and ethical issues stems from the division between the core areas of law and ethics; law controls what people can and cannot do, while ethics are moral standards that govern what people should or should not do. The audience for this event is Year 9's + so, the consideration of issues are key. So ethical issues, inappropriate language and images used on poster aren't suitable  for year 9's. If that was the case which it wouldn't be parents would see the posters and they would complain to the teachers and the teachers would get in trouble. Legal for an event that's being created you need to make sure the correct information is giving so there are no mishaps. Another legal issues is copy righting, I've got to consider this because, I've got to make sure all of the work I am doing is my own and no one else.

Budget and time:

This is what is paid for students and teachers. £16.44 per month.

Here is a screenshot of the average salary per hour for a graphic designer. (£10.24)

69.25 hours x £10.24= £709.12
