Unit 14/17- Final products.

p1- production schedule:

Above is a production schedule of what I made at the beginning and during the 'Everyday People' unit. It's in effectively a log of what I did, what I used to complete it and how long it took me.

p2- Location recce:

Here is a location recce about the location I filmed my social documentary at. I had to create this so I knew my where a bouts and I had to consider the weather, permission, security. This is to make sure it was ok for me to go to the location I wanted to use.

p3- legal and ethical issueS:

In planning for this social documentary I had to consider legal and ethical issues, what I would stumble across and how I would solve them when producing properly. The legal issues that I had to consider was permission off my aunt to film her story so to do so, I had to get her to sign a model release form for her to give permission and to prove that I wouldn't put my work of her all over the place. Also, I had to consider copy righting any additional work that wasn't mine, but that wasn't the case because I used all my own work in both magazine spread and social documentary.

Lastly, the ethical issues that I had to consider was inappropriate language and content. With this I had to make sure things that my auntie was saying wasn't inappropriate or offensive, so I had to check through all my work. I did this because I didn't want anyone getting offended by anything that was said or produced.

p4- screenshots of magazine progress:

Before creating this double spread page I used a tool to create the purple box around the sides to allow the photo to fit inside. This tool allowed me to size the photo to the size I wanted it to be.

I used 5 text box to fill in the spaces on the page. A quoted heading, answers and questions, 2 corner pages and a quote from the questions and answers.

Here, I've used different colours to create the light blue in the heading.

p5- final magazine design.

This is my final product of my 'Everyday people' magazine. It's a full bleed image of my auntie over a double page with, three questions and responses I've taken from my short film. I wanted to use a full bleed image of my auntie to draw focus to her, as she is my hero, the individual I look up to and who has always been there for me. With colours schemes and fonts, I wanted to keep up with consistency of the image colours. So, the first quote is in blue and the rest of the writing is in white to make it stand out instead of using dark and clashing colours. I'm happy with how it's turned out, it's not identical to my sketch, but I kept with the elements that I wanted.

P5- FINAL FILM.

This is final product of my 'Everyday people' social documentary. It's 5 minutes long and it's evolved around my auntie's life story. From when she was little to events that she's come over throughout the years. It starts off with an image of her, into GV's, into visual footage and images that connect with what she is saying. Over the short film is subtle music to set the atmosphere and draw up the key focuses in this short film; family, fostering, achievements, proudness, sadness. It took me a long getting right, fixing it, making sure I liked it, making sure everything I needed was it and also, making sure it made sense. I'm happy with how it turned out with editing, footage and audio.

Final film.

Script:

- Tell me about yourself?

- Who do you live with?

- Your niece and nephew, what happened?

-Do you/ have you ever doubted the choices you made?

- You're your niece's hero, who's yours and why?

-Something you've achieved?

final film:

Storyboard.

(Left) is my initial storyboard for the 'Everyday People' project. There's only 6 brief blocks of the short film that doesn't make 5 minutes worth, but each block has more init which makes the film! I didn't change my storyboard for the film; I kept my first idea of how I planned out what was going to happen, scene by scene. First would be my auntie, then a GV's, back to my auntie, photo's, GV's and then my auntie.

These are all the images I used throughout my short film.

Rushes log.

(Right) is my rushes log all of the content I've over the time of creating my 'Everyday people Social Documentary'.

risk assessment.

This is a risk assessment stating the risk that could prevail whilst filming. The medium risk that could be prevent by putting an action to it. For example; slipping over water in the kitchen to prevent it, you'd wipe it up.
